You are so correct. We always try to find some significance in numbers, dates, etc. And it is a pretty conceited thought that while the angels in heaven do not know the date of the Lord's return, we can figure it out from a calandar. I guess it gives some people something to do.

I saw it yesterday, too. Who knows what's true and what's not. My feeling is that, since I was wasn't there in the very beginning of it all to see how it all went down, it'd be just silly to pretend to be an authority on any of this. Now I did read an interesting article about how Satanists thought that people freaking out over the whole 666 thing was hilarious, as they just thought of them as numbers, and of Satan as more a metaphysical concept that an actual being. I thought that was interesting.

They are like any other Dates, however, many have misunderstood the way that numbers were used in biblical times. the number 666 actually translates to Nero Cesar which was the Emperor of Rome at the time that John received the revelations. Nero Cesar them became the "Pope" of the Roman Catholic Church, all the Government officials then became part of the church. So judge for your self who the beast is.

Well, duh. There is nothing in the Bible that suggests that 666 represents a date. Even if it did, we use a different caledar than we did when that was written.

But, technically, 06-06-06 is only one way of writing it. You can write dates any way you want, depending on what is accepted where you are. I usually leave out the 0s when I write the date.

The Lord WILL return when He sees fit. Besides, there was also
1) June 6, 6 AD
2) June 6, 60 AD
3) June 6, 106 AD
4) June 6, 206 AD
5) June 6, 306 AD
6) June 6, 406 AD
4) June 6, you get the point, right?
and nothing weird happened on these days either.

The 6/6/06 idiocy was just as dumb as the Y2K foolishness.

I've often wondered if the 666 was six-hundred-and-sixty-six or just three six's. And if there's ordinal, cardinal, or nominal value.

"You shall not know the hour nor the day."

I'm thankful I'm alive every day.
And also that the stupid woodpecker has stopped pecking on my gutters at 5 a.m.

Yes numbers like any other. We're still alive and breathing and nothing out of the ordinary happened yesterday.
