My best friend had the same issue when she bought her first house. I gave her this stuff called Approach. You can get it online at www.approachit.net
Rent a carpet cleaner machine and add this to it. It'll help eliminate the odor in the carpets.
Spray all wood areas, drapes, water-safe fabrics, the air, the walls everything with it.
Keeps spraying until the odor completely goes away and it shouldn't come back.

First throw open all the windows! If you can find where the pets did there thing in the house, get rid of everything they went on that you can. What you can't get rid of clean with an enzyme cleaner like Natures Miracle. The smell may have permitted walls and all. You have major spring cleaning ahead of you to get rid of the smell. After everything is cleaned well put a sprayer in a bottle of Natures Miracle and spray, spray , spray. Let the Natures Miracle dry and you should be fine.

Open the windows, shampoo the carpets, scrub the hard surface flooring and restain if necessary, burn candles in each room (caution - use the same or similar scents in all rooms or you'll have the place smelling like a whorehouse - which is NOT better than smelling like a kennel).

Well, if it's urine, fill a spray bottle up with water and vinegar (more vinegar than water) and just drench the area with the solution. Don't scrub it, just leave it to soak and dry. The house will smell like vinegar for like 3 days or so, but I promise it'll go away along with the urine smell.

I take a itemizing of places i prefer to end for the errands and a itemizing of the flaws that i prefer to purchase. wallet & money. keys. sun shades. cap or hat. cellular telephone. deal with or mapquest guidelines if taking the canines then pup luggage pup treats the folding pup water bowl Oh, I forgot the spouse.... lol

The best waya nd the cheapest way of reducing order is
by placing an onion cut in two and a lemon in every room, the odour will be gone with in an hour....

clean carpets open windows and buy air freshener and stuff that is supposed to neutralize pet odor

air out the apartment. wet vac with some odor remobing chemicals, and hope for the best.
some odors just don't go away, like cat pee.

Depending on "odor" your best bet is to scrub w/ disinfectant all and replace carpet etc.

You will just have to air the place and clean everywhere! (Add lemon juice to the water)
Light candles that have aromas will help too.
