I wouldn't necessarily say he's cheating, however I would say he's just wanting his privacy from the guys or family so he can devote his entire attention to you. It's a away of showing respect in some places. I mean thinking about it, would you want him carrying on two or three conversations with several other people and wasting your time on the phone??? It's one of things consider both sides, respect is always a double bladed sword ;)

honey, you aren't the one he's cheating on, you're the one he's cheating WITH. if he's so secretive about the two of you, then it's not him and another girl he has to hide, it's your relationship. If you want to be overly optimistic about it, he could just have a really overbearing family that embarrasses the **** out of him whenever he gets a girl, but I doubt it. Ask him, straight up, he might lie, but at least you'll give him a chance to come clean. just make sure to analyze his answer very well if he comes up with a dumb excuse.

Not necessarily cheating on you but more like, we broke up. I am single again. Talk to him & get it straight but make sure he is around all of his friends or most of them anyways.

Could be he doesn't want anyone listening in and making fun of him while he's throwing out his best lines to make you all silly. I stilll hate people trying to listen to my conversations.
