The easiest way would be online personals. They allow you to get to know someone and actually think about what you're going to say to them, since the first conversations are usually text based. My new personal favorite is www.mate1.com It's FREE for women and it has tons of questions you can answer about yourself like your favorite movies, brands, tv shows, music, etc and you can place funny comments in there to show off your sense of humor. Another good one is Yahoo Personals and www.match.com Don't believe the hype about eHarmony. I tried it and now call the site eTramp.

You're not going to meet other singles at home watching TV. Go out and do stuff...
--Take a class on something that interests you
--Join a club for something that interests you
--Hang out and read at a coffee house
--Get a dog and take it out for walks
--Go to church, temple, ritual, etc as appropriate to your faith
--Do your laundry at the laundrymat
If you find someone who strikes your fancy while out on said excursions, it's OK for you, the woman, to try to get the ball rolling. You can simply say "hello" and start a conversation, you can flirt and try to get him (or her, as the case may be) to strike up a conversation, you can ask an innocent little question to get a conversation started (e.g. at the laundrymat "Which of these detergents is better?), etc.

Get out of the house, and go to places that have lots of people...dances, libraries, grocery stores, ball parks, etc, Smile a lot, and if a person that you like the looks of, glances your way, look back and smile. Flirt a little, and dress nice. have your hair looking the best it can. Good Luck.
