Or lake fish for that matter? Can I just fish anywhere that's clean enough to have fish in it, or are some parts protected? Or do I need some kind of permission? I know I'd have to throw certain fish back.

most lakes and rivers u need a permit to fish u throw baby fish bk they have to be a certain size

I think you can fish anywhere. Its in the constitution.
