I know a guy and a girl who really wanted each other. They didn't want to have premarital sex, so they got married after 2 months' knowing each other and got about to business. They can't stand each other, there's not much love there, it's just sex.

Would it be worse for them to have never initiated the marriage?

P.S. I'm happily married. I'm curious what you think about Ben and Faith's situation, as described above.

Its worse to enter into an monogamous marriage just for the sole purpose of lust! Marriage is special and great; to get married just for the sole purpose of getting into their pants is wrong. But sleeping around is just as bad to me, but if you were gonna do anything, you should just sleep around but I wouldn't even do that!

Exclusive monogamy is safer, legally sanctioned, much more readily accepted by the church.

But if someone married me for that sole reason, I'm not sure I'd be happy to find out that was the foundation my marriage was built on.

Legitimate lust.

1 Corinthians 7:9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion. (NIV)

1 Corinthians 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

I think "Legitamate Lust" is an oxymoron!

And that should answer your question...

But incase it doesn't; let me say that a marriage will not survive on "lust" alone.

Hi ! I think that they were trying to please God and be right and blessed in their marriage. Now they need to read their Bibles and attend the Church of Christ-which is the church that Christ established in the New Testament. The church is very correct in the scriptures and Holy. This would help them tremendously!! I will keep them in my prayers. Divorce really hurts. Paula

You act like there's something wrong with sex for the sake of sex. Do you eat only because you require nutrition, or do you also do it for pleasure? Sex is not evil, but the psychological problems caused by sexual repression is.

the marriage is worse because then you are both tricking someone into marrying you and taking lightly the seriousness of marriage

I dont believe in monogamy, but i suppose it would be worse to sleep around with people you're not married to.
