Of course. This country would not be what it is without immigration.
Now, as far as whether or not immigrants should have ever come here in the first place... Well, it would be quite interesting to see what the United States territory would look like had it never been invaded. I think there would be a beautiful countryside and the Black Hills would not have faces of dead people carved in them

As long as it is in the legal way, according to the laws that we have, why not? If it is not according to what the law says is the legal way, no way. Why should we let in those that want to break our laws to be here and welcome them with open arms? Can you tell me even one nation in the world, other than this one, that would do that? Every other country would throw you in jail and/or deport you real fast and then not let you in ever again. If you want to immigrate here, why not do it the way it is meant to be done? Do you want a nation of lawbreakers, that you can't even go out without the fear of being robbed or killed? Coming illegally is the first step toward that kind of society and you can see it happening now as more and more come in breaking our laws and insisting on rights they have no right to. Do it legal or don't do it at all.

Yes. It would be best to do it legally but from my understanding that isn't easy. They are desperate people and only want a better life and are willing to risk everything to have a better life.
Part of the problem too is so many employers hiring illegals. When they hire them they should help them become U.S. Citizens.

If they have a single purpose for being in the United States and they leave immediately upon completion of that purpose, yes. Because things are bad in their own country and they want to live here from now on and forever is not a legitimate reason.

Yes, if they are here to better their life and realize that this is not their country, so if they come here to live, learn the language, be a good person, and provide for themselves. If I wanted to live in someone elses country, I would have to learn their language and provide for myself now wouldn't I? I wouldn't try to make that country act like my own, why do you think I left in the first place?? But I would still preserve my heritage without infringing on other peoples'.

I respect people who come here, work, speak a little english, are nice, and do not try to change everything to accomodate themselves for selfish reasons. My hispanic neighbors are an example. Nicest people you could ever meet. And they take care of themselves. Their english is not very good, but they try. And that is good enough to call them Americans.

legal yea. illegal, complicated. You see if they took out all the illegal immigrants right now ther'd be more jobs for Americans but you have to remember this. When an employer hires an illegal immigrant it's off the books so he doesn't have to pay (like tax or sumthing but he has to pay) therefore prices are cheap. If he did have to pay he'd raise prices on things and we as amrican only like to buy cheap things.

Yes, providing the wait in their home country during the application phase and arrive ONLY when their application packet is completed and they are issued the appropriate visas! Not the current way, where they come illegally (from numerous countries) stay here illegally, apply and wait here!

"[Is] rapid population [growth] by as great importations of foreigners as possible... founded in good policy?... They will bring with them the principles of the governments they leave, imbibed in their early youth; or, if able to throw them off, it will be in exchange for an unbounded licentiousness, passing, as is usual, from one extreme to another. It would be a miracle were they to stop precisely at the point of temperate liberty. These principles, with their language, they will transmit to their children. In proportion to their number, they will share with us the legislation. They will infuse into it their spirit, warp and bias its direction, and render it a heterogeneous, incoherent, distracted mass... If they come of themselves, they are entitled to all the rights of citizenship: but I doubt the expediency of inviting them by extraordinary encouragements." --Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia Q.VIII, 1782.
