She doesn't really seem interested has a rude attitude toward the whole thing. No promises to show. I offered to buy the dress, same attitude. She's the rude one, not me!

Once you ask someone to be in your wedding party, unless they turn you down, you're obligated to keep them in it. It might really hurt your friendship with this gal, unless that's what you want. For my wedding I let my friends know in advance that I only wanted a maid of honor and best man. We wanted to keep things simple because otherwise you've got 5 women who all wear different sizes, who all like different dresses and I wasn't about to have that. They were disappointed but hey, I look at it like this: I'M THE BRIDE. I had the final say in everything and that's how it should be. Good luck!

If you already asked her then you can't "trade" her. If you think she may not show then she isn't a close enough friend to be asked in the first place. The best thing to do is ask another friend to be an alternate bridesmaid to step in if the first choice doesn't show up. If your bridesmaid blows off your wedding then she isn't a friend at all and I wouldn't ever speak to her again.

Assuming you're the bride, just tell her that she seems very uninterested in your big day and that you are going to find someone else to be in the wedding.

Why is she in your wedding if you are treating her so terrible? Let her out of your circus now..
