If you make a pot of rice and then have some left over, can you unplug it and leave the rice in overnight and use the same rice the next day if you plug the cooker back in and put it on warm?

Or does the rice just go bad?

If you want to use it the next day, you don't need to freeze it. Just keep it in the fridge overnight and warm it in the rice cooker the next day.

Whether the rice goes bad or not depends on how cool the rice becomes overnight. It's better to freeze the leftover rice as suggested above by "Black Fedora" and heat it up in the microwave when you want to use it. When you freeze rice, it will defrost and reheat better if you flatten out the zip lock bag so that the frozen rice will be no more than 3/4 of an inch thick. Also get as much air out of the bag as possible, use a soda straw to suck all the air out as you seal the bag.

the two are actually not interchangeable. A sluggish cooker would not provide the mandatory warmth required to cook dinner rice. I unquestionably have the two, and in case you consume a lot of rice a rice cooker is critical. yet, then so is a sluggish cooker. positioned your stew, chili or pot roast fixings in it earlier leaving for artwork and once you get residing house you have a warm meal waiting. desire this permits.
