Its sad to think that so many men and women are deceiving these days it makes us honest ones look bad. Never judge another person by the one before if you do you will always be lonely

I'm trying desperately not to let the bitterness in after being left by my now ex-fiancée ( I was on the verge of moving to the US for her, too !!!) Hmmmmmmmmmmm ...
There must be hope and kindness out there... I think trust is something that you just have to give until the person shows themselves as non-trustworthy, etc . As for the lies and manipulation... there are a lot of nasty people out there ... but some very good ones, too !
And the girls/women who've answered here are right, too... It's NOT only the girls who are not trustworthy, who are manipulators and liars ... there are a lot of men like that too !!!! Its not a gender based thing, it's just the way people are brought up, how they percieve the world and others, and how they want to be ... It's a 'people thing' ...
Time to get back to some basics, people ... ;^)

Yes there are. It's difficult to learn to trust again I know. I have was separated last year and know it can be hard. Even though I have found a wonderful new partner, I still from time to time find difficulty in trusting completely. I think it just takes time. Hope you find the decent woman you are looking for sometime soon.

Liars & manipulators - it is a common disease in this day and age. Well, I have come across decent women - my mom who's passed on & my good friend Grace. They exist.
I cannot tell you how to learn to trust again. Maybe when you meet someone who throws your way of thinking off kilter and puts your cynicism to rest, then you'll start trusting again I guess.

Well you learn to trust again by loving like you have never been hurt. :) And yes there are still decent women left.. especially the ones who take the time to answer your questions!

yes there are and i am one very decent respectable women. to trust again first u will have to let go off your past and what hurted u the most. u will have to find it in your heart to believe that all women are not the same. you will have to give yourself that second chance before u can actually trust someone else. it may take time but the right women will wait patiently and understand

Of course there are! You're just running into all the wrong ones. I don't know how you learn to trust again. It's not fair to when you take out your bitterness on someone else, but sometimes you just have to let go. Try dating a variety of girls before you get involved with someone seriously. If you do meet someone take it a lot slower than you usually would so you can take the time you need to get to know them and see if you could trust them.
You could put them under little tests too, but sometimes those can backfire. Test to see if you could trust them by getting one of your friends to ask her out and see what she does. I know it's weird, but if you need evidence you have to do it that way.

Yep I am one you are probably looking in the wrong place.
Trusting somone takes time and effort if you are not over what made you lose you trust in people then you cannot possible trust somone again. First let go of the pain and then start trusting again slowly
