Some people call themselves Christians, even though they don't believe in Jesus as the Son of God. They sound ignorant and mean and make all Christ-lovers look that way. I think the non-Christians are really making fun of the "Christians" that are posers.
IMHO, the reason there is so much name-calling is because people feel the Holy Spirit tugging on them, their conscious is bothering them and they're fighting it. I usually feel pity for them and think that maybe they'll get saved some day and will understand. I used to be in their camp...it's frustrating being on this side, because I TOTALLY know how they feel. When friends would tell me that their worried about my salvation, I'd tell them that I'm sure they have more important things to think about. Now, I know why they said it.
Personally, I look at a person and do not think: "they're going to Hell" I look at a person and see God's heartbreak that they won't spend eternity with Him.

Good question. Some who call themselves Christians don't act in love for others and thus people like to think they are justified in attacking the real Christians. Mainly it is ignorance about what Christianity really is. As Jesus said in John 13:35, it is by love for others that people will know who His true disciples are. And love doesn't harm others - Romans 13:10.
This is why it seems plain to me an institution like the Catholic church that has been behind the Crusades, Inquisition, and conquisadors, not to mention killing all Christians who actually follow the Bible for the last 1200 years or so (when the Catholic Church first came into being), is clearly not a Christian institution. I believe it is those like the anabaptists[1], montanists, donatists, hutterites, mennonites, paulicians, and waldenses who were actually trying to follow Christ... and like the early Christians, were persecuted by the continuer of Phariseeism today, Catholocism.

How can you make such a general statement about what Christians do? I have seen Christians on this site giving many people a hard time. I think it is good for you that you don't participate in the negativity going on here. I don't think taking the role of victim is going to enhance your experience. Just focus on the positive people and things on this site and let the negative roll right by.

Non- christians are constantly trying to make themselves look better than christians, and vice versa. I am a christian, and I share my faith every chance that I get. If people don't accept or when people make fun of me, it reinforces what God's Word says about how we will be treated in the last days. I know my fate, and I know theirs, too. But, we are not Jesus we do not have to suffer for them. So as long as you have accepted Christ, be grateful for everything, even the bad stuff, because it will not be long before Jesus will make His appearance.

Because the thought of a million people marching along in 1 long line, singing onward christian soldiers, with a Bible in 1 hand and a fish burger in the other, all believing the same dusty rhetoic, is , in my mind, a hillarious thing, and deserves a chuckle.

Christmas timber do no longer even have something to do with Jesus. Bringing an evergreen tree into your living house and putting lighting fixtures throughout it on the darkest day of the year is relating to the main paganish element you're able to do. Kabbalists call God "the easy." the easy isn't a human guy sitting contained in the clouds; its an incredible spirit of affection without choose different than to furnish. So, the word "easy" potential "provide," and "provide" potential "easy." in case you think of of Hanukkah as a competition of light, and yuletide as a competition of giving, and the iciness solstice as an afternoon to have fun easy in the process the darkest time, that is relatively each and each of a similar element. i'm a former Christian, present day pagan/Kabbalist/Buddhist/Jesus-admirer.

Because some people just do not want to hear preaching perhaps? Many Christians come across as "my way or the highway" and it's a real turn off. Keep your beliefs to yourself.

Christians don't make fun of us, they just simply kill us off... Ever heard of Crusades, Spanish Inquisition, witch trails...
And we make fun of Christians because Catholics admitted that the Earth rotates around the sun in 1970s, after the last looner landing...
