NOTICE: notice the word "tales".

Quran Ch6
[25] And of them there are some who listen to you; but We have set veils on their hearts, so they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; and even if they see every one of the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) they will not believe therein; to the point that when they come to you to argue with you, the disbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the men of old."

Actually, atheists listen more than other people. They have come to the conclusion that God does not exist after studying religious books. Religious people take everything blindly on faith without using any logic.

If "they" have set veils on my heart, then it's "their" fault I don't believe your fairy tales.

It's a good trick for a fairy tale to include an explanation as to why people won't believe it's true. The Bible pulls the same scam.

There are some atheists to whom this applies, but many of us have studied religions and their teachings and decided that we don't believe them for a variety of reasons. There is also the fact that every proof I have encountered either uses flawed reasoning, e.g. design argument for the existence of God. Or is simply false, e.g. ontological argument.

Do you have any idea where that quote came from. It was adapted from the Old Testament, about 1400 years before the quran was written.

I don't give a crap about athiests. Its not a Christians job to sit around and try to win athiests. Its their job to find the people who are really searching for the truth.
