Genesis 1:29 was for "Old Testament" Jews. We are not under that "law" and therefore do not have to be vegetarians.

The Bible records Jesus eating fish (Luke 24:42-43) and lamb (Luke 22:8-15). Jesus miraculously fed the crowds fish and bread, a strange thing for Him to do if He was a vegetarian (Matthew 14:17-21). In a vision to the Apostle Peter Jesus declared all foods to be clean, including animals (Acts 10:10-15). After the Flood in Noah's time, God gave humanity permission to eat meat (Genesis 9:2-3). God has never taken this permission back.

When we were created in the Garden, G-d created us as vegetarians, as Genesis 1:29 points out. It wasn't until Genesis 9:3 that we became meat eaters.
If you study vegetarianism, you'll find they are the healthiest people on the planet; specifically the Seventh Day Adventists.

As far as Peter's vision of the sheet with swine in it; that had nothing to do with food (as you notice Peter claimed he had never eaten unclean foods even after his conversion). The vision had to do with Gentiles (the unclean meat) coming into the covenant of faith along with the Jewish people.

Fruits and vegies were the original fruit that God intended for us too eat until Adam and Eve were thrown out of the garden. (And the seed, which you will find inside most peaches etc...)
The only meat we are not allowed to eat is the dirty kind. (Most seafood besides fish, pig...etc...) They are not good for you. Certain sea creatures eat the sewage that you just dumped so there are therefor considered unclean.

"De. 12:15 Nevertheless, you may slaughter your animals in any of your towns and eat as much of the meat as you want, as if it were gazelle or deer, according to the blessing the LORD your God gives you. Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean may eat it."

The animal sacrifices was a simbol of giving your best to the Lord. Your best lamb was given to him to show him how much you love him. Most things like that were symbolic.

Nope.
Genesis 7:2 Noah's packing the ark...
Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that [are] not clean by two, the male and his female.

Why seven? Some of the clean animals were to be used as food. Hmmmm. You want cheese on that? :>

God Himself is going to throw a barbecue:
Luke 12:37 Blessed [are] those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

We will be served by the Lord. Can you imagine? Take a minute and think about that.

There are other references but these should do for now.

In the beginning God made plants as our food and animals for us to steward over. But sin came on the world and He sent a flood. After that flood He permitted that men could eat animals. That is also y animals r so frightened by us. Animals didn't eat other animals either. But after the Flood they did.
