Lots of things seem unpleasant when first experienced. Our perception of suffering is relative to recent experience, so after a while wouldn't people acclimatize and just enjoy immortality?

No. Your nerve endings will not be destroyed so you can't feel the pain. In hell, they constantly regenerate. It is eternal torture.

There is an awesome article that an awesome person put out called the Green Door. It was a dream about hell.
While some people see it as eternal damnation in the firey pits, the dream in fact potrayed it as the torture of continuing on your life in chains having to repeat the same meaningless things that you have done on earth over and over and over again. For example, the solder was chained to his job of slaughtering innosent people in a foriegn country; the satanist is bound to everlasting torment of the life that he decided to live on earth.
The Devil is that kind of person isn't he? He torments the mind, the mind is really his play place. So that is how I believe Hell is.

He is the First and Last, the Beginning and the End! He is the keeper of Creation and the Creator of all! He is the Architect of the Universe and the Manager of all times! He always was, He always is and He always will be - -Unmoved, Unchanged, Undefeated, & NEVER Undone!
He was bruised and....brought Healing! He was pierced and........eased Pain! He was persecuted and..........brought Freedom! He was dead.......and brought Life! He is risen and.......brings Power! He reigns and.......brings Peace!
The world can’t understand Him, The armies can’t defeat Him, The schools can’t explain Him, And the leaders can’t ignore Him….
Herod couldn’t kill Him, The Pharisees couldn’t confuse Him,
And the people couldn’t hold Him!Nero couldn’t crush Him,
Hitler couldn’t silence Him, The New Age can’t replace Him,
And non-believers can’t explain Him away!

He is Light, Love, Longevity, and Lord. He is Goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, and God. He is Holy, Righteous, Mighty, Powerful, and Pure. His ways are right, His Word is eternal, His will is unchanging, and His mind is on me! He is my Redeemer, He is my Savior, He is my Guide, and He is my Peace! He is my Joy, He is my Comfort, He is my Lord, and He rules my life!

I serve Him because His bond is love, His burden is light, and
His goal for me is abundant life! I follow Him because He is:
The Wisdom of the wise, The Power of the powerful, The Ancient of Days, The Ruler of rulers, The Leader of leaders,
The Overseer of the overcomers, And the Sovereign Lord of all that was, and is and is to come!

And if that seems impressive to you, try this for size
His goal is a relationship with me! He will NEVER leave me NEVER forsake me, NEVER mislead me, NEVER forget me, NEVER overlook me, And NEVER cancel my appointment in His appointment book!
He is everything for everybody, everywhere, every time,
and in every way. He is Jesus, He is God! He is Faithful.
I am His, and He is mine! My Father in Heaven can whip the father of lies and of this world. So, if you’re wondering why I feel so secure, understand this…
He said it and that settles it! God is in control, I am on His side, And that means IT is well and ALL is well with my soul.

Everyday is a blessing for GOD Is!

First, let me just say that your avatar is a splendid display of fiction. But Lucifer was an angel, banished from heaven, not a demon, and therefore one can assume that while hell will be an unpleasant place to spend etermity, Satan is not the ugly creature you make him out to be. I don't remember reading anywhere in the Bible where it mentions God disfiguring Lucifer when he booted him from heaven. And no, a persons soul will not become accustomed to hell, it will be tormented continuously.

As has been said, Hell is everything God is not. Having rejected God, all that is left is what is not of Him for eternity. God is love, so there will be no love, only hate. God is about relationships, so there will be no relationships, only people suffering apart from one another. God is peace, there will be no peace, only confusion and chaos for eternity. Starting to see where this could be a good thing? I'm not.

NO! Whatever it is that keeps a person from fully worshiping God will be there in hell also. We will still try to atain whatever and never get it. Just like here. In addition will be the eternal torment of fire burning that will never go out. We get a break from trials in this life. In hell, no breaks!!

No you won't "just get used to it". Hell won't be 'unpleasant'. Hell will be the worst suffering you have ever experienced. How could you enjoy any part of that?

I asked myself that Q to. If God is punishing us no you will not enjoy it.

This is what happens to people in hell:

no light not like moon and stars no light black no light
fire burning you but you will not burn up
endless pain from the burns on your body
endless falling and disorientation
loneliness you see no one
all you can hear is others screams as they are tortured with you
thirst you will always be thirsty
and you will know that it will never end

I guess if anyone can get used to you, they can get used to anything. what do you mean immortality? you read too many sci fi and watch too many movies...your brain is not able to grasp the meaning of Hell....you have not known true pain and suffering so have nothing to judge it by. There are many people who think this way.

You dum fck!
LOL
Satan doesn't exist neither does hell. We only believe it to be so we created you and hell because people can't accept the fact that they are responsible for what is happening to them. Everyone creates his own reality and if you believe that you will one day die and burn in hell then you probably will, untill you realise that it's all fake and move on.
I'm D.E.A.T.H and I've never sent anyone to heaven or hell.
