Is it normal that people don't have to pass a psychology test before they get the drivers license?

I just ....i have a friend she's ADD and OCD and has tendencies to want to kill herself from time to time and seh HAS a drivers license!!...I just find that horrific....i do not kow aout you guys but i really do care about my life i think someone should start a petition to get all the nuts drivers from the road...I am Europeean ...in europe you don't get your drivers license unless you pass a psychology test.

Because if only the sane would drive...it would be VERY quiet on the roads.......;-)

well it is as long as they have not got into any trouble with the internal revenue.. i know several people that have mental problems and they still drive.. i myself quit driving just cause i have trouble remembering how to get to places.. and i do not want the responsibility of trying to drive not knowing where i am at all the time with the drunk drivers and hot shots and i do not know what all out there on those streets these days..they do not have to take a psychology test to get a drivers license.. if they pass the regular drivers exam , get a permit, and then pass a driving test then they have there license.. they do require now the license be legal and have insurance and all things work on the vehicle before they even take you out to try your drivers test...

I never had to pass any kind of test like that to get my license. I am not always stable in the mind but I drive. I've never even heard of anything like that before either.

Anyone can get a license... my 90 year old grandmother is legally blind and the DOL hasn't taken her license away. Go figure eh?

how unstable?....i dont think i'd want them on the road with me. Contact the local Secretary of State (or DMV, depends on where ur from)

I DON'T THINK IT IS. I WOULDN'T WANT ANY UNSTABLE PEOPLE SHARING THE HIGHWAY WITH; ME
