According to biblical teachings, Satan was the most beautiful Angel ever created by 'god'and he was gods favorite. That got Satan a big EGO and wanted to replace god with himself. The allegory is not to get a head of yourself and know your place in life . Sort of the same idea as the I-Ching.

Satan is made up. He is simply the wrong choice we make in life. Surely we have outgrown the notion of believing in magic, mysticism, demons, dragons, and the like. I believe the bible as a whole but that's just metaphorical.

Yes, he was the most beautiful angel and was named Lucifer. But he wanted to become greater than God, so God kicked Lucifer and his rebel angels out of Heaven.
