THere is a total lack of respect for God in this world and on here. People do not take Him serious and one day will stand in awe and shame as He judges them according to their works which the Bible says is as filthy rags and will not be allowed to enter. There is also an ignorance about God and His purpose for this world and the Bible. It is a control issue where people refuse to be under anyones authority.

Most of the answers you get in this website are opinions.
A few are actual research, and some are simply ideas.
There are also a lot of wise guys who try just to rack up points.
Some of the bible knowledge just misses the actual truth because of missunderstandings. In fact several religons are based on errors!
I attempt to point people to our website where they can find all the spiritual answers or help to find them. Free in home bible studies often point people in the right direction. They cost nothing, and often create life long friendships.

You're right. God stands on His (or Her, if you're so inclined) own merit. Our answers should stand on our own as well.

Plus it's the ultimate unanswerable condition, the equivalent of "because I said so".

I read of a woman whose boss told her he wanted to put her in a more flexible-time position so that she could starting having kids because God wanted her to. Outraged, she quit that day and sued for harassment. In that light, there's a use of the Lord's Name in vain.

I feel you, and they just take it all for granted. we should really not do that, using Gods name in vain and all. at the end of the day we are going to suffer the consequences.
