If a person finds fulfillment in their religion then yes, it can make a rather large difference. People find solace in the rituals of a particular religion and a community of support in their church, temple, etc.

That's a great question and would make a great thesis for a graduate student in sociology or psychology.
In other words, is the person who is religious and more or less happy than someone who is not? More successful in career? More successful in marriage and family? More moral and less inclined to have problems with the law? Less included toward mental and physical illness?
In just going to guess that there would be relatively very little difference. Hmmmm. That just brings up a lot more questions like this.

I wish we could get away from the word religion. It is all about our relationship with God, and yes it makes all the difference in the world.

Yes, it can make you happier. In the Bible, Jesus said at Matthew 5:3: "Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them." However, finding the true religion can be hard. (Matthew 7:21-23.) Yes, true worship can lead to eternal life on a Paradise earth.
