I have a hair appontment at an upscale salon. The haircut is $90. What should my tip be? Should you tip a hairdresser at an upscale salon?

Standard tip is 15-20%. More at the holidays if the person is your regular stylist. Anything less says that you think the person did a poor job compared to what you wanted.

You should tip them about $500 dollars because that shows they did a good job.

I would say anything between ten to fifteen dollars should be an acceptable tip.
