It will still work. However, the response times as you execute various commands may have some latency.
The reason being is that RAM can store information without having to write it to a hard drive. This allows the software to work faster.
When you do not have enough RAM, the software has to read and write that information to a temporary/page file on your hard drive. The read/write process takes processing power and time.

I really dont know what is pinnacle, but if you cant buy more ram, try to run it under Linux (instead of Windows), it manage a part of the disk as virtual memory (works like ram), so it simulates more ram.
And, its true, it REALLY works.

If the program is asking u for more RAM then it's the minimum requirement for the program,
so u have to increase it, it's the only way.
GOOD LUCK

Sadly, the only solution to this type of problem is to buy more memory.
I usually by my computer stuff from TigerDirect at www.tigerdirect.com
Good luck.

If I read that right, it is asking for more memory when you try to run it. Well, the solution is, to install more memory. That's all you can do.
