i already asked about weather to buy DVD-R or + R and now want to know what speed to buy - i currently use 1-4X speed but when looking at choices to buy notice do 8x and more - what is best when copying movies from disc to disc and i also use to burn onto from home dvd programe from camcorder to disc

Depends on your DVDR drive`s speed.
I usually use 8x DVD-R but record at 4x or 6x ,unless the disc is high quality.

i use 8x had no problems also depends on positive or negative disk drive
