Hi. I have just been diagnosed with anxiety. I have never went through something so bad in my life!!! I feel like something is wrong with my heart, lungs, or brain, but my DOC says they are fine and it is anxiety. Everyday for the last 3-4 weeks, I have been short of breath. Sometimes it is not noticable, but most of the time it is. I try not to think about it, hoping it will go away. I also get aches or pain randomly in my body. I get tingling feelings in different parts of my body too. I have chest pain sometimes. Sometimes I wake up sweating too. I have heart palpatations also. Can you have heart palpitations and shortness of breath all the time from anxiety? I feel like I'm falling apart!! My doctor is probably right, but I would just like some feedback if anyone has had this before. I am starting Prozac today. I hope it helps.

Yes, you can have these symptoms almost all of the time and yet nothing is wrong other than anxiety. I have had anxiety for most of my life and it can really ruin your life if you let it. Prescription drugs like Prozac can help, but I've found that excercise and eating right are most effective.

You don't need Prozac... you need anti-anxiety meds. You are having panic attacks (you can't catch your breath/ or breathe, you heart beats REALLY fast and you feel dizzy). Tell your doctor you would like a referral to a psychologist. Most likely they will help you learn to deal with the anxiety in a better way and they might prescribe you something to help you out in the beginning.
Another odd thing you can do is up the amount of acidy fruit you eat... seriously. I was told to do this when I had panic attacks in high school. Apples, oranges, grapefruit, peaches, grapes. I don't know why but they say it's attributed to the fiber.
Give it a try... anything would be better than panic attacks, I know!

You shouldn't be feeling like that all the time. Go have a second opinion done and make sure you don't tell the doctor that you've already been seen by a doctor and have a diagnosis. Let them do their thing and wait til what they say then tell them and compare. I used to have anxiety attacks but no meds were used they would just strike for no apparent reason and when they would start I'd stop what I was doing sit back relax and slowing breath deep through my nose and out my mouth til the attack subsided. It only took me a few months of doing this before they stopped and never returned. Doctors loooooooooove to throw meds at you. I've worked with them for 12 years I should know. Some think theres a magic pill for everything, or they hate to admit they don't know what to do and just give you something...LIKE PROZAC! That's a favorite drug these days.. It's a HAPPY pill.

Anxiety can make you feel just about anything. I actually hallucinated for a while I was so anxious. Prozac may or may not be the right medication, but give it a try. What really helped me was getting on the right sleeping medicine, so I was able to relax at night and get truly restful sleep. I hope you feel better soon.

Homeopathy:-
Your conditions as you have described here call for the Homeopathic Remedy ARGENTUM NITRICUM 30 take three drops in a sip of water thrice daily half hour before meals on an empty stomach and you will be feeling better within 3 doses.Avoid Chocolates Coffee Mints and Red Meat while taking any homeopathic remedy.
I would suggest that you fore go using PROZAC and take this for a day and decide .

Have you had your thyroid checked? You might be interested in a web site, Wilson's Temperature Syndrome, that has a lot of information with symptoms like you are experiencing.
