Bathe him with soap and water often, esp. after he urinates or deficates. Keep his diaper off to air dry after his bath, and for as long as possible. The air will help. Use a diaper rash cream with zinc in it, in the morning and at night. If this doesn't clear it up, then bring him to see a Dr. it could be a very contageous skin condition that needs a medicated treatment. Use gloves to apply the zinc cream to protect yourself, just in case.

Try not to give the baby cow's milk. Put some baby powder on the rash and don't put on the diaper for a while and then after that apply an oinment like vicks or even baby vaseline and don't let the baby stay in the daiper for more one hour. If all this doesn't work take the baby to the doctor. If it's the milk like you said it might be an allergy so take him/her to the hospital a.s.a.p. Good luck.

Dry skin is the first issue. You can get that by changing diapers more often, cleaning with water and using talkumpowder to dry. It helps if it is possible for the baby to spent soms time without a diaper.
Then to repair sudocrem is I think most common. A old naturecure is using eggwhite in stead of sudocrem. You put it on the weak spots and let it dry.

You gave him cows milk too soon, always wait until the baby is at least a year old to prevent alergies occuring which this rash sounds like, let the air get to his skin and put some sudocreme on it

never give cows milk to babies under 1 year old - its really VERY bad for them. When my daughter was a baby, I left her nappy off as much as possible. OK, so I had to have towels down on the floor, but it really helped keep nappy rash to a minimum!!! Letting the air get to his little bot will help clear this up, guess he's just about crawling now!!! good luck, and i hope this has helped!

I have read all the answers and stillwater nailed it. Keep that diaper off for a while hopefully somewhere the baby won't ruin if there is an accident. then use desitin for a few days so the moisture stays off. good luck -- love the babies

Wash babies bottom with warm water ,dry well then use lots of Vaseline, this makes a waterproof layer between the skin and urine and helps to prevent the urine burning babies bottom.

Get your health visitor or doctor to check that it isn't thrush. They'll be able to tell you the best cream for the type of rash or to prescribe you something.
