I'm a student traveling there, and the hostel doesn't have parking.

More info would be good but try searching Toronto Parking Authority by address: http://www.greenp.com/tpa/

Ask the hostel. If you go slightly outside the downtown core, there are plenty of streets that have unrestricted parking. For example, Yonge & Sheppard is a major intersection that's on the subway, but if you travel a km or so north-east of the intersection, you can park overnight.

Also, try to find a car rental agency and sneak your car in with their rental cars after hours. If they use a free parking lot, it's unlikely anyone will know or care. For example, at Bloor and Dundas West, there is a parking lot just north on the right side and you can park there overnight without charge.

Use google maps to map these intersections within "Toronto, Ontario"
