Dog:
1- They are much more friendly if they are treated and brought up right.
2- Dogs have much more potential to be trained.
3- They have so much love to give.
4- They'll always be a companion.
5- Their just so darn cute! lol

1 Cats do not require walking, or fencing
2 Cats do not pee on the furniture
3 Put out a bowl of food and they will eat as needed
4 Friendly if Male, not if Female
5 Get a cat. Do not worry about your family when you are willing to commit the next possibly 18yrs of your life to an animal that will need care, attention, and love.

I think you should get a puppy.
1. Your family has experience with them,
2. You don't know how your current dogs will react to a kitten.
3. You could adopt one from a shelter and save a life!

Well it depends on your life. Do you have time to take the dog for walks or do you have a yard? Do you have the time to give them attention. If not I would get a cat. They use a litter box and don't need much attention. Just to be fed, but mostly like to be left alone.

I have both. If I had to choose one or the other, I would choose a cat. Every cat that I have ever had has been very loving. They are pretty independent and easy to find someone to watch them if you need to go away for a few days.

Get a dog. Dogs are friendlier. You can do more with a dog, like take it for walks and both of you can get exercise. Dogs are also more trainable.

A kitty. They are funny, independent, and more often than not- loyal. I think they are a lot less trouble too-no uncontrolled barking, etc.

get a puppy, they are affectionate, loyal, playful, and they usually don't scratch or bite you, ( like cats may )!!!!! And they really need an owner where as cats merely tolerate their owners.
