according to many the traditional site of tomb of Jesus is the Garden tomb in Jerusalem.

the problem with that is acheologist have shown that the walls of the old city in Jesus' time extened beyond the the Garden tomb.

The problem with this is that it was forbiden according to Jewish law to bury ANYONE within the walls of a city.

so dose anyone know the true site? or is it simply something lost to history.

I doubt anyone knows. All I know is that it was originally meant for Joseph of Aremethia. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a body there or not though. If either side is true, the religious or the nonreligious, his body would have an equal chance of being there as not in there.

If he was a man and died as a man, it's possible that his body was removed from the tomb, if he ascended to heaven, this could be a spiritual process, one in which the body is not needed, therefore it's left behind.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that Jesus ascended body & soul, into heaven. If that's the case, he wouldn't be buried anywhere here on Earth, but his tomb might still be around. (Although I was also under the impression that his tomb was nothing more than a cave with a large rock in front of it, so that would probably be pretty hard to identify.)

Joseph of Arimathea's tomb. It doesn't matter, Christ's body was only there for 3 days.

The problem is people like you who have an agenda. Believe what you want because truth defeats lies, light defeats darkness.

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I just want to say that Mainworry is correct in what the NT says about the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea I believe. I don't think we know where that is today.

no one really knows.
the mother of constantine is the one who supposedly found the tomb (according to what i heard on the history channel).
since that became the official site, no one really cared to look for the other ones, and any documentation that may have existed before is most likely gone now.

It's probably lost. I think God would have assured that the site remain undisclosed lest people worship the site itself or place idols there to worship. For the same reason God disposed of Moses' body so that people wouldn't worship him. Idol worship is a biggie with God. This is just my understanding of interpretation.

I went to Israel last year (I highly recommend it) and they have two sites. One outside the original Old city and one inside (the Old city) but at that time was outside. Both places were awsome to see and experience.

Remember Jesus was only buried Friday and Saturday. He rose from the dead on Sunday.

For believers, Jesus is not buried anywhere. He arose from the dead and made tracks for heaven right after a brief tour of his followers.
