My husband said I am growing too fat for his liking so I should control my diet.

What does feeding your dog three times a day have to do with your husband thinking you are a cow??????????
Unless it is a puppy, feed it 2 times daily. Especially if it is a large or giant breed. It reduces the chance of bloat.

It is not necessary to feed a dog three times a day unless you want it over weight, and over weight is not healthy for pets or humans

i just leave the food down for my little girl(dog)and she eats when she wants too.but my dog cuddles does'nt eat much either.hope this helps,and yes you can feed them three times a day.but is it a puppy or a full grown dog.my little girl is 6 now and like i said i just leave the food down.,i never pick it up and ive never picked it up for any dog ive had.hope this helps

Actually, NO. Your dog only needs to be fed once, maybe twice a day. And please don't make the mistake of giving your dog tablt scraps. People think that this is good for them, when it really is not! Also, don't ever give your dog chocolate!! It is one of the WORST things you can do to your dog. They really cannot handle chocolate.

most pets, including dogs only need to be fed one meal a day.
