There is no role of chlorophyll in the body unless you mean that you have eaten it from plants. In this case I would hazard a guess to that as it passes through your stomach etc etc it would act as fibre.
If your talking about what is the chlorophyll verison in our bodies, then it is blood. Chlorophyll converts electrons from the sunlight through photosynthesis into enegry. While blood transports oxygen around our body to the cells in the production of enegry.
At the centre of blood and chlorophyll a a chemical group called porphyrins. In the case of chlorophyll this traps the electrons from the sun. In the case of blood there is an iron atom bound to the porphyrin. This in turn can be bound to oxygen/carbon dioxide.

I don't think it has a role inside the human body. But outside, it definitely has a role as it produces oxygen.
