With it being that young, it might have a harder road to travel, but I think you can even get the milk-replacement stuff at Walmart. Call a vet or even the Humane Society--they might have a mother cat willing to take it. It's worth a shot!

If it is still alive go to the pet food store and get kitten milk replacer. Do not feed cows milk. If you give a kitten that young diarrhea it would be fatal. You can get a bottle for kittens or use a dropper, a bottle is best. I had one little guy that learned to hold his own bottle up. You will have to use a clean wet cloth to stimulate the kittens rectum to make it move it poop. Just keep stroking till it goes. If you have problems call a vet for advice.

Kittens dont necessarily need there mother's milk to survive but like human babies- its a lot easier on their digestion system if they get the real deal. If they are still real small you should consider feeding them every couple hours on the hour with a small nursing bottle found at your local pet store. They should also have substitute milk there as well. you mix it with water and be REAL careful about heating it up! test it to your wrist first before giving to the babies and if it barely feels warm, its okay for them to eat. If you make it too hot it can burn there taste buds and they will surely die of starvation. If they cant taste their food anymore, they wont eat. So be careful.
Good Luck!

Not necessarily. If you find baby kittens the best thing to do is LEAVE THEM ALONE!!! However, if Momma isn't around, you can go to the supermarket and buy kitten milk. I usually use Goat's milk as a replacement when I need it. I have alot of kittens that I raise that way and they have all turned out to be happy, healthy kitties. So, No. You don't have to have mother's milk, but it is best. Just like us!!

It looks like you're getting all good answers so far My niece found a kitten like yours ,fed it some special catmilk replacement and the kitten grew up into a healthy cat .....bu it was a whole lot of work. she and her friends had to feed the kitten every couple of hours. Get your friends to help, or better yet, get an agreeable momcat to help .Hurry up and good luck.

Poor kitten:(
No, it dosen't need its mother milk but you need to go to a vet to give you a "special" milk or to tell you how to prepare it.
