Its the old Inca trail from Cusco Peru to Machu Pichu. It takes usually fours days It tough due to the long days, but not technical at all, but you should be in good shape and willing to put up with very primitive camping. if you are going to spend the time and money to due it, spring for the tremendously over priced hotel inside of MP-forget the name but there is only one. IF you dont you have to stay at the village at the base and cant get into the park until at least 8:30 and have to leave at %;00 meaning you miss both sunrise and sunset which the best times to be there.
Take the old Russian helicopter of the train back to Cusco both have their plus sides. There's alot to see in Cusco as well, but be careful it can be dangerous at night. Google The South American Explorers Club, they have a clubhouse in Cusco and its worth the $50 to join, they can help you plan your entire trip form guides to hotels as well as side trips.

Besides the road mentioned from Cuzco to Macchu Picchu there are also other " Caminos del Inca" throughout the Peruvian and Bolivian Andes area. Another interesting route is the one that takes you from La Paz, Bolivia to the Yungas, mountainous valleys close to La Paz. You can go by car too, but it is reputedly the most dangerous road on earth!
