How do you break-up with someone who's done nothing wrong(part two)?

I broke up with Michael 2 days ago and went back to see him today so return something of his.I told him I was breaking up with him because my feelings had changed which was partly the reason but he could tell it was because of Eli.He didn't say much when I went to see him today and just gave me this look like I had betrayed him in the worst possible way,like he couldn't believe I could be so cruel.Before we dated we were the best of friends for 5 years.Will things ever get back to normal after this?Will we ever be friends again?

ok - let's get this straight. u break up with a guy who's been so good to you for a whole year, and has known you for a damn 5 years before that. r u REALLY expecting him not to look at u like you've done the worst thing possible to him by going for another guy when he aint even wrong?

having left him, the least u could offer him is some acceptance that what you've done IS the worst thing for him right now. it's not your fault you want a wild life, but then it's not his fault that YOU've hurt him. you can't have the cake and eat it too. you will never be friends again, that's a sure - at least for the next 2-3 years.

just think about his side of it, how would you feel if he did something like this to you? you should do him a favour and cut off from him for a good period of time (min 6 months) and let him get over this pain.

i guess the fair thing would be that - now that you've made your decision to leave him, let him have some say and make the decision as to whether he wants to forgive you or not. don't be a bigger ***** than you already have been (sorry to say but i'm only showing you his perspective), coz you can't have the cake and eat it too

You probably cannot be friends because he will always want you in a way that he cannot have...also he will always be jealous of the new guy...You need to give him his space...still be friendly but not lets go hang out friendly!
