Shampoo containg oatmeal is good for dogs with sensitive/irritated skin. It is low alergenic and safe if they lick their fur after washing. Best idea, if you really aren't sure, talk to your vet, they will know better than me.

The best shampoo to use on your dog, whether it has short or a long coat, is an oatmeal based shampoo. Don't use human shampoo or dish soap on your dog, as they have a different PH balance, and it could cause skin conditions and itching. Baby shampoo is formulated for babies, not dogs. Look for a dog shampoo that does not have alot of additives or perfumes. And they won't cause cancer!

Just get a dog shampoo from the grocery store or pet store. I think some will say for certain types of hair, but in general they are formulated for any dog's fur. To be safest get one that says it is for puppies, that will be the gentlest.

if you can't get dog shampoo then use dish washing soap. A groomer taught me that and it works like a charm. I had tried human shampoo and caused my dogs to break out in a skin rash really bad once!

baby shampoo won't hurt your dog, just make sure you rinse it all out.
