Our love birds drop their eggs too, i don't know why.
I was so sad when the birds dropped their egg.
I really love birds!
But my Uncle said that when you look at the egg or take a peek at the bird house the bird gets angry and drops their egg. lol
I don't know sorry.
But really, when we left the birds alone and didnt bother them, their egg hatched.
The baby bird was so cute.It takes time to grow their feathers though. They're much cuter with feathers than naked.
We have white love birds with some sky blue color on their feathers, that's my favorite bird and yellow with a bit green color.
Sorry if i didn't really answer your question,it was just a theory of my uncle.

Have you provided a private nesting box for the birds to use? Some birds prefer privacy for nesting. Are you trying to raise baby love birds? If you handle the eggs or babies, your sent will be on them and the parents may abandon them. Check out local pet shops for nesting boxes that will fit on your cage. This goes for wild birds too.
