It depends on the location in the brain and size...basically meaning if it's inoperable or not.

It depends on the location, my niece had a tumor at the base of her neck and spine, and it was inoperable she passed away at age 6, that was 20 years ago and they have made great strides in medicine, also my friends 11 year old daughter had a tumor, not sure of the location, and she had surgery and todays shes the healthy mother of 3......
