Why do you say that Muhammad was the "greatest prophet" when it is clear that Jesus was and still is? Jesus is after all the Messiah!

This is a serious question.

And here is my serious answer:

Muhammad and Jesus were God's messengers to humanity. Muhammad was the last one. True believers know that God had many messengers to humanity, and they believe in all of them.

As to who is greater than who, please let's not waste time on similar arguments and leave God to decide that. They were all his messengers and He knows how to rank them, He does not need our help in this regard.

Wrong and doubly wrong!
Jesus was the name Pontius Pilate had inscribed on three crosses in the Crucifixi Hoax or the great hoax of the crucifixion.
The Quran states that the crucifixion was a hoax, as well as all the teachings that come with it, and the Bible agrees with the Quran 100%.
Check with the Gospels and see that no Gospel writer knew of the presence of two thieves set for crucifixion before the procession arrived at Golgotha, and three of the four Gospels report the Christ did not touch the cross, but Simon carried that third cross.
The Roman Court was no Kangaroo Court and would not harm an innocent man they looked up to as the Son of their God Zeus.
Matthew reports the Christ was to be named Immanuel and he referred to Isaiah 7:14, and Isaiah 7:14 states the mother would name the child, but no Gospel shows the mother naming the child with this half-Hebrew, half-Greek name of Jesus (Jah and Zeus combined) but "they" name the child, and who are they?
You will not find the name of Jesus in the Old Testament of the Bible, nor in any genuine Scripture, since this forms part of the trick that the Quran mentions about Isa al Masih ibn Mariam, "for a surety they killed him not".
Muhammad was only a man as was Isa the Christ and they have come and gone and Muhammad is not to be likened with Jesus since Jesus is worshipped as a God among the Christians while Muhammad and Isa were messengers of Allah and must not be thought of as greatest or even great but merely the slaves of Allah, The Only True God (see John 17:3 where the prayer is to The Only True God) and Christ spoke Aramaic and prayed to Allah, and Allah is the Name of The Only True God, and that is 114 times to be seen in the Quran

Muslims make no differences between prophets PBUT as all sent by God and are brothers, but we know that the best one is Mohammad as he led all the others in prayer in Jerusalem before he ascended to heaven in the night journey, we know also that Ibrahim is next as he was the father of the prophets, lastly Noah, Moses, and Jesus are in the same rank. To Muslims Jesus is very special as he is coming to preach Islam and lead Muslims before the end time.

We say that Muhammad is the last prophet. We think that all the other prophets are great as well, including Jesus. We say that Muhammad was the last prophet, and he was a great man.

we don't say that Muhammad(pbuh)is the greatest prophet!!we just believe that he is the last prophet on earth...all prophets are great..all of them suffered and fought just for our sake....Jesus has been a great prophet and he is still in our minds...even if i am Muslim, i believe in all prophets and respect them all...God bless you...i hope i have cleared this issue to you..
p.s:this is not just my opinion, it is every muslim's opinion...that is what i think..

Zeehan, Jesus is more than just a prophet. You must have never read the bible. It teaches Jesus is the Son of God.
That should answer your question who is greater!

We did not say that. we said all prophets are equal in the eye of God. and all of them came from one source which is God.

that proves it here:

Quran ch 2
[285] The Messenger (Muhammad (peace be upon him)) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)."

Muhammad is a human being who's happend to be the sealed of the prophets. the ring of prophecy is now closed.

Jesus was a prophet to Jews as Bible also confirms, whereas Mohammad (pbuh) was prophet to the whole world. So who do you think is greater?
