Controlling mind ad overcoming the stress something that requires good deal of efforts....The way I do it is resort to Yogic Eercises or what is know as Yoga...The couple of exercises include -
Padmasana - in this case sit in the padmasana posture with eyes closed...don't try to think or put pressure on your mind from stop thinking. Just let it wander whereever it wants to, just let the thougts come and go and after some time your mind would be relaxed with no thoughts and it would be totally blank...be in that position for 10 minutes or so (though time factor hardly comes to us as it then becomes anoter usual exercise)
Bhramarashan - Again in this case just sit in a position to keep your backbone straight and close your eyes....with cloed eyes try to focus on the temple of your head (the point right above the point where your nose ends and forehead starts) Now startsmaking the sound as that would be denoted as OOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNN and do that for some time.....This will also help you in getting rid of your headache problem....this in a normal circumstances if is practiced, can even help cure Migran etc, so the stress factor is just another issue that it cures....
Shavasan - Lie down staright on your back with eyes cloed and leave the control of whole of your body...just regulate your breathe for a while and be in the position for around 15 to 20 minutes

every one says meditate, but i know this is not so easy for a normal man.you can overcome your stress by sitting some where alone and thinking about all the good things you have in your life.life is too short ,so you should think about all the good things you have in your life and enjoy it as much as you can.what all problems you have in your life just try to solve with calm and positive thoughts.remember do not create panic in your mind.i hope you would be able to overcome your stress.best of luck.god is there to help you out in your problems.

Meditation is the best way but it's not always easy for all. Practical way is to speak out loud to overcome stress !! Talk face to face with person who is bothering you and increasing your mental stress......and let him/her feel stress !! LOL

My heart goes out to u girl....i havent been in ur shoes so i wudnt understand how the social phobia gets under ur skin..but i do know that its difficult to socialize with a group of friends instead of just 1 friend (some ppl may differ with that). U'v just got to pay more attention to whats being said in normal conversations instead of thinking insecure thoughts cuz thats part of where the "quiet mouse" character stems from. So just refocus ur attention in their presence. Be more aware of ur external and ignore ur internal for a while. Hope that helps short-term. Seeing a counselor is a very good and mature long term solution...and the younger u r the faster u'l heal.

Exercise, drink water, hire a masseuse, go to bed earlier(take one tylenol pm, it really helps), watch porn, go to church(sometimes it is just nice to be around other people), find some where to go hiking, go fishing(remember to get a fishing liscense), I don't condone occastionally smoking marijunana, =)BUT, if you have a partner, you could buy some sex toys, or pretend like you are wild animals, you can hire a sex worker, you can quit your job--money isn't everything, move to a new city and just start all over again, if you have kids, you can just not have any more,

dont get stressed over stupid things and try not to get angry at people and do not get pissed off at people who annoy you. that will help if you get stressed out. i am 22 so i should know these things. beleive me, take my advise. it will help alot.
