Now, when you edit your answer, in the main screen it doesnt show that you have modified your answer.. I answered a question, no one had given the correct answer before me. But when i got back to that question some time later, i was shocked to see that a person who had answered before me(and had the wrong answer) had now changed his answer to mine...Now the questioner will think that this person answered first!!! Isnt it unfair?? If its like this, then i can answer a question with whatever rubbish i want , and later, after seeing other answers, change it!!! I think the earlier system was better!! What do u guys think?? And those of you who want to say "Wrong Category", i dont have to clarify to you!!

I totally agree with u!! I saw that u mentioned this when u answered my question earlier.
And just for the record (in response to the rude answers to my question!), I didnt ask my question because I am an obsessive points monster (like people thought I must be). I asked because I wanted to see if anybody else was affected or to see if I was the only one affected by the changes!
Some people go a bit OTT in their responses instead of taking the question for what it is!! In your case, u are asking has anyone noticed that it no longer shows up if an answer has been modified, because it is annoying! And in answer to you, I have noticed it and it is unfair! I come on here to help people and answer questions sensibly and nicely, but it also makes me feel good when I get a best answer because its shows that the person asking the question appreciates my input and the question helped them. So it is a bit unfair if others come along and rip off someone else's honest answer just so they can get points.
Anyways hopefully it will all be back to normal again soon!

I never knew you could do that, but you're right, it's unfair. It should be only once and if you want to modify it, they should put it at the end. That way anyone who tries to cheat won't get the best answer. He can still modify his answer if he wants, but it'll be at the end.

Yea man, thts so unfair, maybe they should remove the edit so that no one can be able to change their answers once they are posted.

Hm, that is annoying. I didn't notice that though, because I never changed an answer. Maybe I should look at the answers I get for my question so I can make sure no one does that. Thanks for the notice thing.

if the person who asked the question receives email alerts about their answers then they will see that the person changed their answer.
sorry, guy. it sucks when people take credit for your intelligence, doesn't it. at least you still know that you are smart, right?
