if you are suddenly losing an unusual amount of hair, you should see a doctor. It could be caused by illness, stress, even poison or radiation.

The next time you have a check up ask your doctor to do a TSH test on your thyroid. That's usually why we start losing hair and there's not much you can do about it. Sometimes massaging the scalp will help.
I have the same problem (with thyroid problems), curly, red, and scanty on top. I had it cut extra-short and stylish (like Haley Berry use to wear hers). I don't have to wash it as often, which can cause loss and don't have to use a curling iron which damages the hair. I also use a soy-bean pomade that you can find in almost any store. It keeps it fluffed up and conditioned. Hope this helps you. God Bless.

First, see if your shampoo and conditioner is fine with your hair. then make sure that you are not combing your hair and yanking it. Try not using shampoo and conditioner for a week, and brush your hair while showering. It works for me. Also, tie your hair up.
