There is a limit to genius but there is no limit to stupidity. Mother Theresa did not have a boyfriend and was happier than most people. A guy in NJ set his girlfriend on fire. You are more likely to be killed by someone you know than a stranger. So that means someone with no friends is safer than others.
The U.S. has increasing rates of anxiety and depression. Is happiness a matter of cosequences or a state of being? St Francis of Assisi did not have a girlfriend but was happier than anyone else around. Why? How can someone be really happy or peaceful if they are always worried on a deep level that their spouse and children could be killed at any moment or anything bad happening.
St Franci had total and complete trust. He never worried. He was fearless. That is the only way to be peaceful and happy.

your right! you can be single and happy at the same time. got a lot of friends who are in your position. for as long as you live your life to the fullest, you're contented with your life, no regrets whatsoever then i salute you for that!
