He found another woman or women. Move on. It's heart breaking, but whenever someone goes off on a trip and comes back, "a changed person" and wants to only be friends, that means they met someone else. Move on, he truly doesn't love you. There are over three billion male humans in the world, he is but one. If life between you is already difficult, then there are just too many signs that it's time to find someone else. It won't be easy to break away, but you really should. It's the best thing for you to do.

If you love someone too much you might have some personal insecurities. If your entire life depends on someone else you might not really understand what love is. If he wants friendship you need to accept that. Nothing sends someone running another direction is having a stalker-like x love.
Get a grip and move on. Sounds like absense made you idealize a guy. Be stronger in your own self and don't let a guy control you to the extent that you love him too much. That is not mature love.

he found someone else in the 3 months he was away and did not have the guts to break the news to you as he should, maybe he doesn't want to hurt you but face it he is dumping you and you should take the hint and move on. it may be a blessing after all as being of a different religion can be a barrier later on if both of you get real serious.

Tell me about it! My ex came back from Sydney and said that our relationship was going too fast and we should take it slow, but one day, he asked if I could see if he had any new texts on his fone and I read his outbox and his inbox and i saw he had had text sex with another chick. I'm not saying your boy is doing the same or similar, but I think you should chat and ask if there is anything wrong. I have a loving guy who has never done anything of the sort since I dumped my ex. Anyway, mine has no fone!

tell him that you would rather not speak then not be together because it is just to hard to be just friends... let him know how much it hurts and tell him that it shouldn't matter about the difference with religion between the two of you... all that should matter is yalls happiness and love for each other... and if your parents are the ones who wont accept this relationship, they have to realize that it is not their lives they are running, it is your own.

He may feel that he missed out on all the great things that make a relationship worthwile. Maybe he wants to fall in love with you again or have you fall in love with him even more take things slow and tell him to ask you out again. Re-live the magic and enjoy each others company again.

Its so nice & honest of him not to cross the boundary of sexual intimacy. You`r lucky to have a man of principals as a friend.
If you both are interested in marriage, go ahead, religion does not
matter much, provided you both follow norms of wedded life.
If its a one sided affair, make up your will and tear apart.

O.k. you said that you love him so much
So give him time and take things nice a slow
But tell him how you feel if you don't he will never know
Are you friends? are you inlove with him? if so go on
Girlfriend tell him that you love him but also ask him
If he feels the same way....

The absence of being apart from each other gave him time to make a decision This has made up his mind of what he wants from this relationship. He has other plans unknown to you. So be careful. He wants to be with you on his terms. Don't stand for it. Move on. Its his loss and he does not deserve you. His lack of affection and love will make up your mind and see him for what he truly is..
