I was with this girl for awhile and then she told me that she had been raped by a friend of hers right before we got together and she did nothing about it. Now I feel disgusted when I'm around her. Is it ok to dump her over that?

you shouldn't be disgusted about it... it was not her fault. imagine how horrible she feels that some one close to her, her own friend raped her! i think most of all you need to talk to her about it and try to talk to her, comfort her and convince her to go and get her stuff checked out... she needs you right now, as a boyfriend and a friend... i think she would feel even worse than she does now if you dumped her over something she couldn't control.

Oh, God! You are disgusted?! By what? Did she wanted to be raped? Do you think it's easy to do something?? To say yo were raped to the whole world? The most of the people react like you! Like she is guilty. You are guilty! You and the people who thinks like you are guilty! Because of you raped girls are not saying this to anyone and the rapers stay free, continuing to rape.

No, you need to stand by her. If you dump her she's going to grow up thinking she can't keep a relationship together without being dishonest. Which isn't a good basis.

She is a victum you are upset with the wrong person. She told you because she needs help and you dumped on her.

Get over yourself this is not about you!!! she didn't ask to be raped and because she didn't do anything about it doesn't mean she wasn't damaged... the fact that she told you means she trusts you but i guess she should rethink that if youre thinking of leaving her coz of it..just get your head in the right place..

it's perfectly alright to feel disgusted with what you know of her past. but i guess there is no reason of dumping her because of that stupid past experience. if you really love her, you will stand by her side and find ways to help her. if you're not ready to fight for her... then... goodluck!

the "right" answer would be that no you should not dump her 'cuz it's not her fault. But if you're the kinda guy who gets upset or bothered by such issues, then may be she deserves better than you.

I don't think she wanted that to happen. Hey, if you really like her, I'll say stick up for her. She needs someone to accept her, not someone to shoo her away just because she was a victim of someone's bad intentions.
