the media is doing everything they can to make the troops look bad.....Ted Tunners is in control...... we never hear of all the abuse the Iraqis & Afghan peope suffer at the hands of their own....they can burn schools with little kids in them...mosques with their precious koran....rape,torture and behead anyone they choose..yet we never see that reported here..or all the schools,clinics,hospitals,roads, all the good you do there....just the negative.....such bad karma from him....I don't watch the news anymore.....go online for it... and get it from the troops I know in both places...also some of the people that live in both countries on a couple of sites I am on..the people love what you do for them...many say the bad apples aren't even from the area....paid thugs....brainwashed into believing allah will give them 21 virgins if they rid the whole world of infidels....they mistreat their women,yet that's their reward? Maybe we ought to send a few Hilliary Clintons & Janet Rinos their way ??
You guys rock ! Screw the dang morons who report only the bad stuff..they just BS the nitwits who are foolish enough to believe the media would never lie....right !! They can't even get the weather right..lol

My Sweetheart is deployed in Afghanistan..just had his 1 year `tour extended..makes me love him more for doing what is needed for his troops...he'll be greatly rewarded whenhe gets home !! ***wink***wink***...

No, I think certain individuals in the military have given the armed forces a bad image. The media's job is to report things, regardless of whether they'll play well to the boys in olive drab or not.
The public's smart enough to realize you're not all out there shooting up innocent people, and I personally wonder how the stresses of multiple tours of duty can't help but get to those who are currently over there.

They should perform their duty without looking for praises in the Press. They must satisfy their own conscience, and the rest will follow.

3.they give themselves a bad name when they torture prisoners
