It is your choice not to answer her emails and that will have repercussions depending upon how long you ear ignoring them.
But, I understand. Sometimes, you just cannot stand to be irritated anymore and need a break for a while. In the past, I have declared I'm taking a time out for a while...and been 'absent' from the computer while I take care of myself. Sometimes people just get into a rut of beating on each other and you have to holler TIME OUT!!

This happens due to age gap and the Ego with the elders. For some time ignore her and mind your business. You have to take many things to your stride, whether you are willing or not. This is life, this is living.

If her emails make you mad, it's better to wait untill you can handle them gracefully. Not answering may preserve whatever friendship you two have left so not answering may be 'the lesser of two evils'.

depends largely on what she did. I think it would be ruder to answer her email and leave a nasty message than ignoring her.
Does she know why you are pi$$ed at her? If not, then you owe it to her to let her know why, but be nice about it, if she decided to take you to court for harassment or something, she could print out your emails and use them as evidence.
