i am a christian and do believe in God and jesus, but i do not see the big deal if he(Jesus) had actually been married, to me it only makes him a bigger man/saviour.
I mean a man knowing he had a family, died for the sins of many, gave up his own life so that we all could have an advocate with the father.
how many people can do that these days?? If jesus lived today will he not claim he had to live for his family forget he had a duty to the world to which he had been born for a purpose.

Mary magdalene in my opinion should be regarded in high esteem for having the courage to stand by a man who like a sheep went to the slaughter. I see nothing wrong in Jesus being married and having kids, i also believe that people who do not want to really look at the whole story will want to say that it was impossible that Jesus had been married.

ken i know it is fiction all i am asking you is, if it makes Jesus less of who we accept him to be if indeed he had gotten married???Even before the da vinci novel came out, i always wondered if mary magdalene was really a prostitute, if she were she must have indeed been a very rich prostitute. And i think in one of the Gospels that was not added to the Bible it was indeed said that jesus loved Mary magdalene and often kissed her

I believe that Jesus died to save us all.
So if he was married or not doesn't really matter although no one can prove if he was married or not.

And to ask questions and doubt is human - we have to believe because we want to not just because somebody said we should.

As suggested in the book(which everyone seems to have forgotten is a NOVEL), if Jesus was married it throws into doubt the whole treatment of women by the Christian church. I must say it's refreshing to see a Christian on here with an open mind, a very rare breed it seems. I also wonder why so many people are so scared of a work of fiction-are they trying to hide something?

1. Jesus is alive today and is still happily single with no earthly attatchments other than his love for us.
2. The intent of marriage is to hhave a family under scripture,
and while Jesus did say marriage is good he also said its better to be single if you can do so and stay pure, and since God (Jesus)always does what is BEST not just good, he stayed pure (therefore single)
3. To believe in the "Code" means to put doubt in the Bible, i. e. the inspired word of GOd, once that begins, faith becomes a slippery slope,
Keep asking but be carefull,
and God Bless

Get real and read the very first of the book. It tells you that the book is fiction. I guess if people want to believe it then we have the next bible. Sure would be nice if more people could think for themselves instead of having to be told when to come in out of the snow and ice.

first of all Dan Brown never said it was true, second of all I 100% agree with you. I believe if Jesus lived today he would be a much more modern person, and his thoughts would be different. Hey what do you think he would think about all the TV Prophets?

JESUS is GOD.
He go down to earth not to get married (that's human thing), but he came to save us from SIN.
but really these kind of films make me sick because they don't understand what JESUS do on earth, because of JESUS I'm happy and he makes everyone who believe in him happy.

GOD BLESS YOU AL.
