Sweet pies are not so common in England (or not that I have been served anyway). Apple pie is seen occasionally on menus, but apple crumble is far more common. One thing that are very popular here are savory pies, such as steak and kidney or chicken and mushroom pie. Most fish & chip shops and cafes have them. Another popular pie is shepards pie, or cottage pie. Although these are made with potato topping, rather than with pastry.

USA-We love pie in our house. I like to serve up some peanut butter pie-it rocks-it has cream cheese, peanut butter and chocolate. It doesn't have to be baked so when we have a sweet tooth it doesn't take long to cure it!!!!
