I often hear people say: Tomorrow is Friday.
Don't they have to say: Tomorrow will be Friday.
Are they wrong?

'Tomorrow is Friday' is correct. First of all it`s communicative - everybody is able to understand such a message. Second of all as far as grammar is concerned the sentence is written in Present Simple and this tense is used in future aspect in timetables and schedules. Days of a week are kind of timetable, aren`t they?

Don`t think about people and answers ! If you think " Tomorrow will be friday " is correct , ok , use it . When you use this you will see the people`s reaction to your decide and then you will understand that are you correct or them .
Both sentences mean the day after today is friday and not sunday so what`s the diffrence ! The language came to help people to say their needs and quests . So if you feel more comfortble when say " Tomorrow will be friday " , it`s your choise . Do it ! And f u c k the people and their saying !
Have good say !

If native speakers can use a sentence, then by definition it is *not* wrong. Language is defined by speakers of it.

In English, as in many other languages, you can (under some circumstances) use present tense when you refer to future time. You can also use present tense to refer to the past (usually literary references). For instance, you can tell someone "I'm going out to lunch with a friend" when it refers to next week. You can also say "Shakespear writes about wars and love." Neither of these refers to today or *right now*.

Tomorrow already connotes the future; the former sentence is correct.
