This problem may be more common than you think. Before your holiday, try using the toilet at a family member or friends home. Nothing may happen at first, but keep trying, telling yourself that you will be successful. Here is a good website to visit that may be of help with your situation. http://www.restrooms.org/page02r.html
Give yourself positive affirmations several times per day, e.g. I will use the toilet away from home.
You can do it. Enjoy your holiday!

Your not the only person who feels this way, A lot of people don't feel 'safe' using another toilet other than that at home. What you need to do if you can, is try controlling the mental image of you using the toilet, and the image of you using one away from home, make it a smaller image, try seeing yourself from a far away angle, move the image further away until its the size of a pin head. Keep doing this, until the image in your head bothers you no more. Eventually you wont even think or worry about which toilet you use. Keep practising it.

Alot of people have this anxiety to a certain extent, but if it's to such an extreme as you described, it needs attention. Often, this could be a symptom of something diagnoseable, like an anxiety disorder of some sort. I would recommend you calling or seeing a nearby physician to recommend you to a specialist, or just find one yourself. You would want a mental health related doctor. Often medicines cure these things.
Also, if it's diseases and stuff you're worried about, you'll be happy to hear, i have no fear of public toilets and use them all the time, and never have gotten sick from it, and nothing weird is crawling on my *** or anything. haha be brave!

I would say start by going over to your boyfriend's or to a close friend or family member's house (someone you feel really relaxed with), and drinking as much water as you can. Then, don't leave the house. When you can't hold on any longer, go to their bathroom, and see what happens. When you're happy using the bathroom at your friends' houses, then try a public restroom. You can get through this. Counselling will help.

my father was the same.
He used to end up constipated when he went on holiday.
He overcame this by using first family toilets, then friends, now he just chills out & goes when he needs to.
The important thing is to relax about the whole thing. The more you make it into a big deal, the harder it will be. Don't let it ruin your life.
Remember: YOU ARE IN CONTROL.

no its not mad loads of people don't want to use toilets other than the ones in their home, epically not some of the public ones yuck, this issue of going away with your boyfriend means that you are going to be pushed into dealing with this, you should find a sympathetic counsellor or similar to help you over this hurdle good luck

Lucky you. There`s no need to use public toilets. Local holidays will ensure u dont go far. Employers detest workers who hang-about the toilets and would gladly accept you.

Weird, I'm exactly the opposite. I always have to take a fresh crap everytime I walk into someone's house I don't know. If everyone were like you, no one would ever get themselves thrown in prison. I think it means you're crazy. Ever tried eating your own feces? Aqcuire a taste for your own excrement and you'll be kicking in bathroom stalls just to get a bite to eat. I hope this helped you. It's making me nauseous.

First of all, you have to tell this to your boyfriend. He may be supportive to you and you might work things out together. You don't have to go through this alone.
Second, i think it is a physiological thing more than an cleanness and health issue.
Why don't you get consultation?

Yeah, I hate that. I have a solution for you. Always carry a book of matches to the bathroom with you. Keep them in your bra if you are going out and might need to go. It masks the after effects if you get my drift.......They might want to know what was burning but wouldn't that be better?
