It is the most difficult question I am confronted with. Perhaps, it is also the most difficult question ever known to the mankind. But still I would like to venture to answer. For me God is not 'A', 'B' or 'C'........... that I can name Him. It would also be foolish to think that he is so and so because that answer will entail an unending question as to who created the creator? Since we understand mother and father, friend and teacher, knowledge and ignorance; I would say that God is both my mother and father, He is my best friend and companion, He is the final knowledge beyond whom there remains nothing else to be known. He is the solvent in which everything else in this universe gets dissolved. He can not be identified nor can be limited in a word. He is Infinity who can at best be felt in what we call the Supreme Bliss!

God is supernatural being, spiritual. He is Allahu Subhannahu Watallah (read qur'an for more details). HE is the creator of everything in this world. He knows what is tomorrow, when to end this universe and He knows everything that far from the knowledge of human being. He is the creator of your life though He let you to be free in this world just as He gave you a great knowledge, brain, to be rational and use it in a good way. He is what prophet Moses, prophet Abraham, prophet Noah, Prophet Yusuf, prophet Jesus, prophet Mohammad, and the rest, preacher. that is the same God that they've preached to us. May your Allah show you the right way just like Cat Stevens, Muhammad Ali, and so on.

He is the literal father of my spirit. He is aware of my existence. He loves me and wants me to make the choices that will help me be more like him and less like Satan. He gave his only begotten son in the flesh, Jesus Christ to be a sacrifice for my sins so that through Him I may qualify to enter into His realm of glory when my earth life is complete.

Who "God is to you" is irrelevant. It doesn't change the nature of God.
