Los Angeles, eh?
You could check out the Spahn Ranch, in Meth--oops, I mean DEATH Valley where the Manson Family used to live...
You could trace The Nightstalker's [that's Richard Ramirez, to you and me, kids!] (Hail! What a hottie!) freeway routes to suburbian areas during his killing spree...
Visit the old Sharon Tate/LaBianca residence.
Cruise over to Brentwood and practice throwing bloody knives over at O.J's house. Just in case, you know/ That's a skill that could keep you outta the clink indefinitely! =)
Hang out in South Central Los Angeles, like, in the Watts area. There were riots there, back in the day...
Check out the Viper Room, which was previously owned by Johnny Depp. Isn't that where River Phoenix was last seen alive?
Charles Bukowski lives in Los Angeles. Er, well, he did and still may depending on whether or not he is still alive.
Hunter S. Thompson has stated on at least one well documented occasion that there is an abundance of bats in Barstow... Maybe you could investigate that?
Stop in and see how Phil Specter is hanging in there since he killed his last houseguest...
Have a picnic under the "H" on the Hollywood[land] sign where Peg Entwhistle purposely plunged to her death...
Make a point to visit Rick James' final resting place, b*tch!
Dearly decaffienated and *ahem* decapitated debutante and Hollywood darling Jayne Mansfield lived with bodybuilder Mickey Hargitay right on Sunset Blvd. I guess the pink house and heart shaped pool are no more, but the rubble is worth peeking at... if you're into that sort of thing...
Man... I could just go ON and ON. There are so many ghastly sights to see in Los Angeles, it's just unreal (well, I guess not for Hollywood, I guess). Go to the library and read the old trade papers and get a window into the gloom and doom of all the beautuful people. Hollywood makes people, and it breaks people. You will be sure to find more than your fair share of heartache if you look in the right places.
Good luck... I think? And like, enjoy your vacation--don't do anything I "would" do. Hehe =)

How many gravity hills are there in the Los Angeles area? I thought it was a joke when I heard about it first but I went there last year and it was a lot of fun. The driver stepped out for a minute because he thought it was very funny and he had to run behind his car at the end...

there is this town in the middle of nowhere called, Hysberia, i dont even know how its spelled, well in general its like the state capital where they produce speed. its way off on the side of the los angeles county but its a freaky place, in fact for a period it was told there was some type of 'chupacabras' monster there, but that wasnt his name, there was another name, i forgot, but for a time it was said that it was haunting the area, i mean everyone had thier stories to tell. i had a friend who was from there and supposedly told me had seen one once in this dry sewer on the outskirts of the city. i didnt believe him so we went there on new years 2002 at 3 am to this dry sewer he was talking about it. it was soooooooooooo incredibly creapy, we were in four and this tunnel/sewer which was miles long was dry and supposedly said led down to the charles manson camp. we made it half way until in the middle of the tunnel in teh dark we began to smell fresh blood, and there these cold breezes passing by in a closed shut undergroudn sewere, it was soooo creapy. there was this crushed rat i remeber, not even killed or eaten, squished completely, who in the world had the strength to perfectly squish a huge rat and leave it flat on the ground??? we took off, i never saw the monster everyone alwasy said, but it felt really creapy. so go visit Hysberia, cool place hehe...
other things about los angeles, theres the hollywood cemetary, its said also to be haunted, theres also a hollywood hotel, a small oen that is also said to be haunted, ive heard about it in those travel channels haunted hotels.
in the orange county area in long beach, theres the famous, queen mary boat where till this day hasnt taken off. they have tours of the huge immense boat, but there also tours where they show you the haunted areas of the boat. its said to be haunted with many of the passengers in the past, murder, suicide, accidnets, ecc.
thats all i can think of in los angeles, well actually if your talking, 'wierd' not spooky things, you can go to the outskirts of downtown los angeles, im mean therefore central los angeles, make sure you go on some old beat up car, dress up like a poor woman, and drive by it late at night. there you can see very 'wierd' i mean really 'wierd wierd' people. its not a safe area at all so go with your doors well locked, in some ugly car so you have nothing to stolen off from. i can say 'wierd' people because my sister lives in downtown los angeles in the safe clean area, its safe during the day, but even while your sitting in some table outside a restaurant eating some food, youll get to see at 3 pm some wierd 40 year old guy walking aroudn in some grandma outfit, im seriously not kidding, and its not even a joke. there are 'wierd wierd' sadly, drugged out people,
the last thing i can say is wierd, but not IN los angles, but in california are the ghosttowns, those are real cool places to visit, they arent haunted nor creapy, they are real historical spots.
have fun!
