Because they will not be hated. Not hated enough to make a difference in the better life they will make here. Not hated enough to make a monetary difference in the income increase they will probably receive. Ever heard the saying "Sticks and stones will break my bones but words can never hurt me!"

Actually I'm not sure where you heard that immigrants are hated. I find that strange, as a New Yorker.

Perhaps if I lived in Texas I would feel the effects of immigrants from Mexico, but I doubt it. Even so, just cause Americans seem intolerant with their loud words and "hatred", they are pretty well behaved when it comes to violence.

I bet a Chinese,Mexican or African Immigrant would have less of a chance of being injured in the United States by far, than in their home country. If they are white immigrants, they definitly will not have problems, except for maybe a couple of jokes at a bar.

Americans may be obnoxious and opiniated regarding immigration, but I think most people, like 99.9% of "haters" will not act on it. the others who do, would probably hurt anyone, regardless of race.

Also getting a Visa is a big deal, from what I hear. It's very difficult and time consuming.

The USA has one of the best systems of accepting, not hating, immigrants because each group has always become part of the society. In European countries there is often a limit to the time immigrants can stay (Germany accepted thousands of Bosnians and then kicked them out after seven years) and strict limits on citizenship. France had riots of Arabic immigrants this year. Here, immigrants can be part of everything--they are not marginalized as a group. Sure, individuals can run into trouble getting a job etc, but the group succeeds. Every group that has come to the USA has succeeded.

I don't think Americans hate immigrants generally.
What those that dislike the current situation are mad/concerned about is that things are out of control and not being done legally.
This chaos is what is causing the "hate" you speak of.
Things are broken here now. But just because they are broken doesn't mean those coming here have figured it out yet and so they keep coming. Once they get here ....they realize it's not a cakewalk generally. I think the illegal alien Hispanics know now the jigs up. No more free lunch. This will slow things down if we top it off with no more cheap labor programs at American workers' expense.

The Irish were treated worse than anyone, except maybe the Chinese. The Irish tried to help the Germans avoid some of the prejudice. The Italians were too dark , too Catholic and like to drink and fu*k too much. The Jews were.. Jewish. The Haitians are black, poor, superstious and illegal.... Everyone wants to come. Everyone gets hated even those who came in legally at Ellis Island.

They are not hated!! We just want them to be fair and get in line behind the ones waiting. How can that be hate? Do people like others to crowd in front of them waiting in line at a movie, or a concert? I am not allowed to break laws, why should they?

I do not believe it is all races, the trouble with the Illegals coming from Mexico is they are ILLEGAL not hated. They are breaking the laws of our country and want special privileges while doing so.
